Sunborn London Yacht Hotel is a unique venue providing around 140 guest accommodations, beautifully designed restaurants, leisure areas, conference, and events facilities offering an expansive view of Canary Wharf.
Position overview: We are looking for a reliable and customer-oriented Night Manager to join our team. As the Night Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations during the night shift. Your primary goal will be to ensure the safety and security of guests and staff, while also providing exceptional customer service and maintaining the high standards of our establishment. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a keen attention to detail.

Duties and responsibilities:
Salary: £29,120 per annum. Full time, permanent.
Reporting to: Front Office Manager.
Team:
* Supervise the overnight staff, including Night Receptionists and Night Cleaners.
* Conduct training sessions for overnight staff to ensure they are equipped to handle various situations and provide exceptional service.
* Coordinate with other hotel departments, including maintenance, housekeeping, and food and beverage, to ensure smooth operations overnight.
Guests:
* Provide a friendly and caring welcome to all guests according to our service standards in order to ensure guest satisfaction.
* Handle guests' inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally.
* Assist with guest check-ins and check-outs as needed, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Security:
* To be responsible for the overall security and running of the hotel between the hours of 23:00 pm to 7:30 am, 5 days per week.
* Manage the safe evacuation of guests in the event of a fire and other health and safety critical events.
* Conduct regular rounds of the hotel to ensure the safety and security of guests and property.
* Respond to emergencies and incidents, such as medical emergencies, disturbances, or security breaches, following established protocols.
Systems:
* Monitor hotel systems, including reservations, billing, and security cameras, to identify and address any issues or discrepancies.
* Prepare and distribute reports summarizing nightly activities, including occupancy rates, incidents, and guest feedback.
* Perform administrative tasks, such as updating logs, completing paperwork, and preparing for the next day's operations.

Required skills and qualifications:
* Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role.
* Knowledge of hotel operations, including front desk procedures, guest services, and safety protocols.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong problem-solving abilities.
* Proficiency in using computer systems and hotel management software.
* Flexibility to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
