Each day is usually a team of 3 and the standard day is 9:15am to 5:15pm. We have a car share set up from Kendal, we take turns driving to reduce fuel costs and parking challenges as well as lowering our carbon emissions. You'll join the retail team of 8 who get involved across the whole property from supporting our visitors' daily needs to running art events in the orchard. Throughout the year you'll get the chance to get involved in lots of things and feed into how we shape the experience at Hill Top for future years. We hold Discovery House Forums four times a year after work these give us the chance to hear from key speakers and learn more about the history of the Lakes and Beatrix Potter. Working at Hill Top you're surrounded by the scenery and places that inspired many of Beatrix Potters famous stories and illustrations, our aim is to share these iconic stories with our visitors through conversations and our products. Hill Top was the start of Beatrix Potter's life as a farmer and conservationist in the Lake District. As a member of the retail team at Hill Top, you'll help share the stories of Beatrix Potter's legacy alongside helping and advising visitors with their shopping and supporting their overall visit to Hill. You’ll have high standards of presentation in the shop while providing excellent service to all customers.You’ll also be able to talk to them about how everything they buy helps to fund the work of the National Trust.
