N287a Family & Community Solutions Co-ordinator - Role Profile
In Plymouth, we are committed to family-led models of working, helping families to find their own solutions wherever possible. An exciting opportunity has become available to join us as a Family & Community Solutions Co-ordinator, in our team delivering Family Group Conference and Mediation Services. In this role, you will coordinate and facilitate Family Group Conferences and deliver relational mediation to families to help them resolve significant issues within their family and build their capacity to parent effectively.
The successful candidate will also support other co-ordinators with advocacy for children and young people as part of our Family Group Conferences and other initiatives, such as Lifelong Links.
This approach aligns with our overall practice in Plymouth, where we work restoratively with children, young people, and families by being trauma-informed and strengths-based, building relationships to understand lived experiences and provide the right support at the right time to enable long-term positive change.
The successful candidate will demonstrate success in working in a problem-solving and relationship-based way with families, building their capacity to overcome obstacles and parent effectively, also utilizing their wider family and community networks. You will be committed to empowering practice and improving wider outcomes for children, such as education attendance and attainment. You will be joining a service with a ‘High Expectations, High Support, and High Challenge’ culture, where we are raising our game and investing in our staff and managers to do their very best for children, young people, and families every day.
