Overview of the role:
- Almost entirely sales target driven, you will have a desire to overachieve and continually push for more.
- To increase new Business (while maintaining recurring business).
- Plan work to create sales growth, new account acquisition, continued account penetration, and maintain customer satisfaction on a long-term basis.
- Develop and nurture existing and new accounts in order to maintain strong relationships and a good understanding of their current and future business needs and directions.
- Meet or exceed sales order booking objectives. Build and maintain a pipeline of business opportunities.
- Target European markets, bringing in new business preferably from Scandinavian/eastern European countries.
Working Conditions:
- 37 hours per week
- Travel requirements: Local and International
Essential requirements for the role:
- Identify customers and key players in the market and create customer intimacy, especially with business partners.
- Assess and qualify sales enquiries, lead presentations, and production of proposals.
- Access and assess market intelligence and report on competitors' activities and products.
- Attend exhibitions, conferences, meetings, and training sessions.
- Build and maintain our customer base.
An ideal candidate will have:
- Entrepreneurial approach, comfortable defining and driving strategy and pricing, and having the courage to know when to walk away.
- Airport expertise welcome but not essential.
- Knowledge of warehousing conveyors would be advantageous.
- Proven track record of setting and exceeding business sales targets.
- Relationship and network building capabilities. Enthusiasm and passion for other people's interests and needs.
- Strong appetite to sell, desire to regularly close profitable business, and a resilient mindset.
- Basic understanding of contracts and business risk.
- Good listening skills, adaptable to all stakeholders and situations.
- Positive, engaging, structured, concise communication skills.
- Solid negotiation techniques, balancing the short-term with a strategic view and adapting to cultural differences of buyers (companies and individuals).
- Expertise in organizing professional presentations and other sales and marketing materials.
- Ability to build strong relations at all levels of both prospect/group organization.
