The Role Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this is an opportunity to join a team with the ability to positively impact the Company’s performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for the material control of post contract direct materials (to support new product introduction and manufacturing) and branded finished goods. Working cross functionally, you will dynamically drive adherence to MRP schedule, underpinning our ability to deliver on time, every time to our customer. Commercial awareness, communication rapport and attention to detail are crucial to this role. Responsibilities • Maintain an uncompromising accuracy of critical part master detail (lead times, contact info, MOQ) within the MRP system. • Analyize, Interpret, and evaluate the MRP system/s, creating, releasing, and maintaining orders accordingly. • Create associated sales order records where dual MRP systems are operational (IFS/Oracle for example.) • Expedite open orders in a controlled manner to ensure manufacturing schedule can be achieved. • Own the post-contract interface for suppliers across a number of commodity sets, and become the subject matter expert over time. • Inform the MPR system and provide feedback to procurement to manage and reduce price fluctuations and drive a value for money baseline. • Secure stock delivery dates in line with inventory and demand plans, negotiating delivery requirements with the supplier, where necessary. • Work closely with production demand planning and respond clearly and in a timely manner on all queries relating to inbound receipts of direct materials and site inventory adjustments. • Provide inputs to the overarching procurement strategy and sub plans. • Maintain records and build data sets to contribute to the budget process. • Deliver business and functional Key performance indicators. • Time manage, to deliver an agile, friendly service to all functions, underpinning the business strategy. • Work cross functionally to leverage business efficiency, whilst providing exceptional customer service. • Routinely re-evaluate existing critical suppliers and come forward with suggestions to improve key metrics (such as on time-in full, off contract costs, lead time reductions etc.) • Provide daily support to the demand planning team. • Present daily updates across your supply spectrum using various mediums to a wide stakeholder base ensuring all delivery anomalies are clearly articulated Person Specification Key Behaviours You will be confident, determined, and enthusiastic with a positive outlook and a clear focus on delivering results.
