The People Operations Associate plays a crucial role in supporting the smooth running of our People processes and ensuring an efficient, people-focused & compliant workplace. Their role is essential in ensuring that the people team operates effectively, allowing leadership to focus on strategic initiatives.
The Team
The People Operations Associate sits within the wider people team and collaborates with key stakeholders such as HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition teams, Finance (for payroll and benefits coordination), IT (for system and equipment setup), and department managers who rely on HR support.
Responsibilities include:
People Operations & Administration
1. Keeping customer excellence at the forefront, you will complete all activity relating to the employee lifecycle: onboarding, offboarding, parental leave, job changes, including the relevant administration.
2. Support the HRBPs in executing advisory processes including absence management, flexible working, and other ER support as required.
3. Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance in HR systems, upholding the highest standards of data quality.
4. Proactively maintain, and make suggestions for, updating relevant people resources, for example the PeopleBot and our SharePoint page.
Data Management & Reporting
1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HR databases.
2. Generate regular and Ad Hoc HR reports to support business decisions.
3. Support with generating payroll reports and checks on a monthly basis.
4. Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and company policies.
Process Compliance & Continuous Improvement
1. Follow and enforce HR policies and procedures to maintain consistency across the team & organisation.
2. Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in HR Operations.
3. Support HR projects related to system upgrades, policy rollouts, and compliance initiatives.
Employee Experience & Support
1. Act as a point of contact for employee HR-related queries, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
2. Support the delivery of HR initiatives that enhance the employee experience.
3. Assist in coordinating induction sessions, events, and HR communications.
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
1. 2-3 years of experience in HR Operations, administration, or a similar role, preferably within investment management or financial services.
2. Proficiency in HR systems (e.g., Dayforce or other HRIS platforms) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
3. Strong knowledge of HR policies, employment laws, and data privacy regulations.
4. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
