THE ROLE/TE MAHI
We are seeking a permanent, part-time (0.4FTE) NZSL Interpreter. This role is based at our Christchurch Campus in Sumner and reports to our Interpreter Lead within our wider Communications and Resources Team. Although we are a school, this role is not student centric and doesn’t include any specialist educational interpreter responsibilities. Staff Interpreters work flexibly in both face to face and zoom settings, in a stimulating variety of contexts. Our Staff Interpreters also use their bilingual fluency to translate information between NZSL and written English. The role also requires some video editing from time to time which we are happy to provide training for if this is outside your current skillset.
