Get Golfing CIO, a charity with a purpose to improve lives through making its golf courses and clubhouses accessible to all, is seeking an experienced General Manager to join and lead a fantastic and thriving team at Redlibbets Golf & Country Club, in Kent. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a versatile and dynamic organisation which manages and operates 13 sites with 7,000 members and over 160,000 visitors each year.
The successful candidate will be part of a £20m revenue company of 600 people which reinvests profits from its operations into its venues, courses, the development of its people, and importantly, community oriented charitable initiatives local to its sites. Get Golfings model is to maximise revenue through memberships, golf days, events, and F&B whilst ensuring the motto of our courses are for golfers while our clubhouses are for everyone is lived and breathed throughout the business.
As the General Manager, youll be at the helm of daily operations, working closely with the incredible team to drive revenue, enhance the guest experience, and ensure the Redlibbets venue thrives. Youll play a vital role in managing all aspects of the venues P&L while supporting a great cause contributing to the growth and success of a charity-focused organization.
Role Responsibilities:
* Lead, motivate and develop a passionate team to ensure Redlibbets offers an exceptional experience for both members and guests, from the clubhouse and catering to golf operations and sales.
* Take ownership of the sites P&L, ensuring the venue is financially healthy and consistently meeting targets.
* Take responsibility for venue sales, being weddings, business meetings, conferences and social gatherings
* Foster strong relationships with customers and suppliers, building loyalty and encouraging repeat business.
* Collaborate with the course management team to maintain and improve the golfing experience for all visitors.
* Oversee the planning and execution of engaging, well-run events that reflect the venues high standards and drive success.
* Ensure that the venue is compliant with all relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations.
* Play a key role in promoting our inclusive, sustainable, and community-focused values at all times.
The Candidate:
As an individual you will have proven experience as a General Manager within either hotels, leisure venues, or hospitality. You will have a track record of revenue generation, event sales, and building strong, lasting customer relationships whilst being commercially savvy and comfortable with P&L management, consistently driving performance.
