East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) ensures the best possible quality of life and makes every moment count for children and families across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk. Our family-centred approach includes specialist nursing care, symptom management nursing, short breaks, wellbeing activities, therapies, care at end of life, bereavement support, counselling and volunteer services in the family home; all meeting the individual needs of the child, young person and whole family.
In 2020, all three of our hospices; The Nook (Norfolk), The Treehouse (Ipswich) and Milton (Cambridge) were rated OUTSTANDING by the Care Quality Commission.

We employ around 400 employees and have more than 1,800 volunteers across the organisation, including 51 shops and a Retail Distribution Centre.
Caretaker
Location: Milton Hospice, CB24 6AB
Part-Time - 22.5 hours per week
Working Pattern: 3 days per week, Monday to Friday (which 3 days per week is negotiable)
Permanent Contract
Salary: £23,000 pro rata, per annum

As a Caretaker at our EACH Milton Hospice, you’ll be committed to providing a high standard of interior and exterior maintenance at the hospice. Working with our Facilities Site Manager you will also be responsible for ensuring essential health and safety tasks are carried out.
Are you:
• You are a thorough, practical and an organised person who is able to work with minimal supervision?
Do you have:
• You have a strong understanding of construction and repair with competencies in carpentry, plumbing and electrical repairs?
• Knowledge of materials, methods and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings or other structures?
• An understanding of the problems which may be found in older buildings?
Responsibilities include:
• General maintenance or building work including decorating, carpentry, plumbing and electrical.
*A Full UK Driving License is essential for this role*
