About the Opportunity: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Engineering Manager to manage the Site Technical Office. The successful candidate will play a key role within the site-based team, collaborating closely with the Client, suppliers and other stakeholders to manage and deliver the approved engineering design. They will coordinate and resolve on-site issues within a multi-discipline project team using their technical capabilities and engineering judgement, applying their skills, or generating innovative solutions as appropriate whilst simultaneously interacting and collaborating with engineers from other disciplines and offices to deliver the project safely to the required level of quality in compliance with the certified design on time and to budget. This position requires regular attendance at the Client site located in Burghfiled, Berkshire. (Minimum 4 days on site.) Your responsibilities will include: - Providing the site based focal point for all engineering related issues that arise during manufacture, construction and commissioning whilst liaising with the Responsible Designers where design intent may be affected. - Attendance of constructability reviews - Management of site technical office team including discipline engineers, designers, revit technicians and CAD technicians - Managing the review and response process for site generated and supplier technical queries, concession requests, commissioning reservations, etc. - Managing instructed change either on site within agreed delegation of authority or via the Responsible Designer - Lead minor design packages on site - Managing drawing configuration for deliverables through the red-line process or through the Responsible Designer - Interfacing with appropriate Design Lead Engineers, Package Managers, Section Engineers, Quality, Commissioning and Handover teams - Maintaining the configured design - Advising Construction on installation methods and constructability Here's What You'll Need - A Degree qualified Engineer or demonstrable equivalent underpinning knowledge and understanding and discipline relevant professional experience. - Proven experience in working with multi-discipline engineering teams in multi-office locations. - Good all-round technical design experience using British and international standards and Eurocodes. - Detailed working knowledge of UKCA marking requirements. - Ability to work autonomously and manage the STO team's time and workload to deliver against agreed milestones. - Ability to work effectively as a team leader within a multidisciplinary team liaising directly with team members and the Client. - A proactive problem-solving background with proven track record of project delivery. - Proven people skills and the ability to foster excellent working relationships with team members and the Client. - DV or ability to achieve DV clearance. - Knowledge & experience of CDM Regulations 2015 Any offer of employment will be strictly subject to the relevant security requirements for the role being met.
