GSL Education Lincoln is recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a supportive and inclusive school in Scunthorpe. We seek a compassionate, enthusiastic, and patient individual eager to contribute to the well-being and educational progress of children with special needs.
Job Summary: The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will be working in collaboration with a dedicated team, focusing on delivering personalized support to students with special educational needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the educational journey of young people who require additional assistance to succeed.
Key Responsibilities of a SEN Teaching Assistant:
1. Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
2. Deliver high-quality, differentiated instruction to students with SEN.
3. Work closely with classroom Teaching Assistants to create an inclusive learning environment.
4. Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as needed.
5. Provide support and guidance to Teaching Assistants and other staff working with SEN students.
6. Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers about student progress and needs.
7. Stay informed about current best practices and developments in special education.
Desirable Qualifications for SEN Teaching Assistant:
1. Experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
2. A patient, caring, and empathetic approach.
3. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
4. A commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
5. Relevant qualifications or training in special education is a plus.
