Job Title: Product Developer
Location: The role is based in our Peterborough head office. CITB is currently operating a hybrid approach to working and the team work from home and attend the office an average of one to two days per month.
Salary: The target salary for this role is £46,350

We have an exciting opportunity to join CITB's Training & Assessment team as a Product Developer for the Training Provider Network.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
Managing product development
Development of new products and the ongoing development of existing products
Effectively hand over new products to the Training Provider Network Manager for ongoing delivery
Develop the methods of product delivery to improve customer experience
Facilitate the production of content for products via internal and external experts
Coordinate quality reviews of product content via industry experts
Project Management
Development of detailed product project plans with clearly identified objectives, timelines, risks and issues
Effectively manage project delivery on an ongoing basis; monitoring and reporting on progress; managing timescales, budget and quality; and proactively managing risks and issues
Design, allocate and manage work packages to internal and external experts
Identify and consult with key stakeholders (internal and external) in any particular development project ensuring that they are consulted.
Conduct post project (lessons learnt etc.) and highlight any potential future improvements
Ensure that all projects are sufficiently resourced and that timelines for completion are both reasonable and are aligned to the product release cycle.
Managing/supervising the people resource allocated to the project
Management of the project budgets to meet governance requirements
Stakeholder Engagement
Organise and facilitate customer focus groups to shape new product developments as appropriate
Support the effective promotion of products by supporting marketing, communications and sales
Product Awareness
Develop a full and complete understanding of your product group and support the development of the product roadmap
Inform the development of new processes to support products and services
Analyse product data and market research to support the production of new products and services
Knowledge and Experience
Essential
Project Management professional qualification such as APM or Prince2 qualification (or be willing to work towards this)
Education to A level standard (or equivalent)
Experience of delivering projects in a commercial environment
Clear, confident and persuasive communicator and presenter at appropriate levels
Ability to influence and negotiate both internally and externally
Self-motivated and able to plan and organise own workload
Strong problem-solving skills
Desirable
Educated to degree level (or equivalent)
The ability to manage conflict and difficult situations
Process analysis/design experience
Experience of developing products or content in the training or education sector
Experience of the construction sector
