Role Responsibilities To assist in the delivery of psychological work within Pennine Care Learning Disabilities Care Hub under the clinical supervision of Clinical Psychologists. To support and enhance the psychological care of adults within the Community Learning Disability Teams, providing psychological assessments and interventions under clinical supervision. To work independently to agreed operational objectives set and assessed by the Principal Clinical Psychologists and Clinical Psychologists. To assist in clinically related administration, conduct of audits and projects, collection of statistics, development of audit and/or research projects, outcomes measures, teaching, and project work as required. Clinical Assessments To assist in the psychological assessment of adults with learning disabilities using various assessment methodologies, including psychometric and neuropsychological tests, self-report measures, structured observations, semi-structured interviews, screening tools, and routine outcome measures. To undertake assessments of psychological and mental health problems to inform interventions or assist in signposting clients to appropriate services. To participate in functional assessment of challenging behaviour and assist in developing and implementing positive behaviour support plans. Intervention and Training To contribute to multi-dimensional formulation of clients' problems and assist in formulating and delivering psycho-educational and psychological interventions under supervision. To deliver individual psychological therapy and co-facilitate group and family interventions under supervision. To write clinical reports tailored to various audiences, including adults with a learning disability and their carers. Multi-Disciplinary Collaboration To assist Clinical Psychologists in delivering psychological interventions at a systemic level, including consultancy and training. To work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary learning disability teams, other service providers, and referrers to assess needs and formulate action plans. To attend and contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings, including liaison with Community Learning Disability teams and other service providers as required. Professional Development To receive regular clinical supervision in accordance with professional practice guidelines. To develop skills and competencies that assist in the delivery of current duties. To contribute to training and supporting the multi-disciplinary team in developing skills in psychologically informed assessments and interventions. To assist in the design and implementation of service development projects as required. To assist in designing and implementing audit and research projects. Data Management To undertake data collection, data analysis, and produce reports and summaries using IT and statistical programmes. To undertake searches of evidence-based literature and research to apply evidence-based practice to the service user group.
