Leader Education are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to work at a SEMH school in Blyth. The ideal candidate will have experience in working with young people with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs and experience of working 1-2-1 delivering interventions, supporting in a classroom environment as well as a genuine interest and commitment to helping them reach their full potential.
At Leader Education, the normal working pattern is Monday to Friday 8:30am until 4pm and is a long-term position.
The successful candidate will:
* Have an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or the willingness to obtain one.
* Have Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or other relevant qualifications (desirable).
* Have effective behaviour management strategies.
* Monitor and manage students' behaviour and wellbeing.
* Prepare and adapt learning materials to meet the needs of students.
* Provide one-on-one support to students with EHCPs.
* Have previous experience working with secondary-aged students in an educational setting.
