The role under dhost Philippines is responsible for managing financial operations and strategic business support. Key responsibilities include liaising with external service providers to enhance financial and statutory reporting, overseeing financial reporting processes, and driving process improvements through automation. The position also supports senior management with strategic decision-making, manages key performance metrics, and serves as the finance point of contact for new business opportunities. Additionally, the role involves overseeing treasury functions, ensuring tax compliance, and maintaining effective relationships with financial institutions and tax agents. The ideal candidate will have strong financial expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
The Role
1. Liaison with Service Providers:
1. External Engagement: Collaborate with external service providers (e.g., bookkeeping, taxes, payroll, statutory reporting) to identify process improvement opportunities and information needs, enhancing management and statutory reporting processes.
2. Financial Reporting: Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including actual results, forecasts, and multi-year operating plans.
3. Process Optimization: Lead initiatives to automate processes, reducing non-value-added tasks and improving efficiency.
4. Performance Monitoring: Evaluate service provider performance and implement corrective actions as needed to address any issues.
2. Strategic/Business Support:
1. Senior Management Support: Assist senior management with tasks to facilitate strategic decision-making.
2. Performance Metrics: Identify and monitor key performance indicators related to business operations, competitor activities, and benchmarking.
3. Finance Point of Contact: Serve as the finance liaison for internal and external collaborations related to new site acquisitions, sales, and tender bids.
4. Issue Resolution: Provide financial support to resolve ongoing finance and tax issues with vendors, customers, and partners at existing and new sites.
3. Reporting:
1. Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely monthly financial reports, including dashboards, management reports, board decks, variance analysis, and reconciliations, with support from service providers and internal resources.
2. Insight Translation: Convert operational performance insights into actionable plans to meet organizational goals.
3. Audit Liaison: Coordinate with external statutory and internal auditors.
4. Treasury:
1. Investment Advisory: Advise management on investment and funding options from a local perspective.
2. Cash Flow Management: Plan, manage, and monitor company cash flow effectively.
3. Bank Relations: Manage relationships with financial institutions, including updating bank mandates, handling bank account activities, and applying for bank guarantees, letters of credit, and bid bonds for tenders and projects.
5. Tax:
1. Tax Compliance: Oversee the computation, filing, and payment processes for income tax, withholding tax, and VAT to ensure compliance with local regulations, including cross-border transfer pricing and related party transactions.
2. Tax Agent Liaison: Collaborate with external tax agents to ensure accurate and timely tax compliance.
6. Corporate Admin: Carry out legal, corporate secretarial and admin activities.
Skills & Experience
1. Qualifications:
1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Experience: Minimum of 5 - 8 years of experience in financial management, including experience with external service providers, strategic planning, and financial reporting.

1. Financial Expertise: Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
2. Business Development: Experience in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and improving financial processes.
3. Process Improvement: Strong track record of driving process improvements and automating workflows to increase efficiency.
4. Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
5. Technical Proficiency: Skilled in financial software and systems, including ERP systems, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools.
6. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly present financial information and insights to various stakeholders.
7. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex financial and operational issues.
8. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including service providers and auditors.
