Our client is a market leader in their space, offering a number of services to a wide range of customers. They are best known for supplying software laboratory services into the veterinary space. In order to further grow, they have diversified their service offering and are now offering storage solutions in an incredibly state-of-the-art, purpose-built warehouse with a large space for temperature-controlled storage.
They are now looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their team, to help build the 3PL, 4PL, and DTC channel.
Job Description
The Business Development Manager role is pivotal in driving business growth and ensuring seamless operational excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and pursuing business development opportunities, streamlining processes, and enhancing the business's operational efficiency, particularly within the 3PL, 4PL, and DTC business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Business Development:
o Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities related to 3PL, 4PL, and DTC 2.0 services.
o Develop and implement strategies to expand our client base within these sectors.
o Develop quality pipeline activity and convert opportunities to long-term business agreements.
o Collaborate with the executive team to set business development goals and KPIs.
2. Market Analysis:
o Conduct market research to understand industry trends and competitive landscape within 3PL, 4PL, and DTC.
o Gather and analyze data to make informed decisions regarding operational expansion in these areas.
o Identify potential areas for growth and development specific to 3PL, 4PL, and DTC.
3. Client Relationship Management:
o Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients and partners in the 3PL, 4PL, and DTC sectors.
o Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their needs and proposing solutions that align with the organization's 3PL and 4PL capabilities.
4. Proposal and Contract Negotiation:
o Prepare comprehensive proposals and negotiate contracts with potential clients in the 3PL, 4PL, and DTC sectors.
o Collaborate with the Sales and Legal Teams to ensure contract terms align with company policies and regulatory requirements specific to 3PL, 4PL, and DTC services.
The Successful Applicant
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager from the logistics sector, ideally with knowledge of 3PL, 4PL, and DTC.
Key attributes that would be useful to the role include:

* Strong Commercial awareness with a solid understanding of operational processes and efficiencies.

* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Windows, Outlook, and Excel.
Full driving license required as the role will involve travel across the UK.
What's on Offer
Up to £55,000 + car + package. You will need to be in the Midlands premises on a weekly basis.
