Secretarial Services Manager\n\nLocation: Edinburgh\n\nSalary: £40,000 - £45,000 DOE\n\nThis role can be based in Edinburgh or Glasgow with travel expected between offices one day every other week\n\nWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Secretarial Services Manager to join our client to lead their secretarial function in Scotland. The successful candidate will ensure the efficient operation of systems and processes, delivering exceptional client service. In addition to managing the secretarial function, the role will involve providing PA support to a select group of partners or fee earners.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nDevelop and implement best practices, conducting regular reviews to ensure optimal effectiveness of the Secretarial Services department.
Identify areas for service improvements and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.\n\t\nServe as a key contact for the Heads of Groups, Executive teams, Partners, and fee earners. Maintain effective communication and coordination with all relevant parties.\n\t\nWork closely with Office Services to ensure administrative support is aligned with organisational needs, delivering high-quality service across all departments.\n\t\nLead performance management initiatives, including check-ins, 1:1 meetings, and setting clear objectives for the team. Identify and support the development needs of staff, ensuring continuous professional growth.\n\t\nLead the recruitment process for new team members, ensuring alignment with the firm's values and needs.\n\t\nContribute to firmwide Secretarial Services projects, collaborating with key Business Services stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency.\n\t\nLead performance reviews, and exit interviews as well as conduct hearings when necessary\n\nKnowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:\n\nProven management experience in legal or professional services\n\t\nWillingness to work flexibly to meet the demands of the role and the needs of the business.\n\t\nStrong experience in managing and engaging with multiple stakeholders at various levels.\n\n\tExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster a collaborative and effective team environment.\n\n\tAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment, delivering high-quality results within tight deadlines.\n\nIf you are a proactive, service-oriented professional with a passion for leadership and client service, we would love to hear from you.\n\nApply today
