Quantity Surveyor (Groundworks) Location: Ringwood - Hampshire/Dorset Border Area Salary: £30,000 - £70,000 (Dependent on Experience) Our client is a well-established civil engineering and residential services provider with over 25 years of industry experience. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team based ou of their Head Office in Ringwood, Hampshire. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile housing projects while contributing to a company that values its people and their professional development. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for overseeing groundworks and civil engineering surveying for new housing projects. Reporting to the Commercial Manager or Director, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities Act as the main point of contact for all surveying-related queries and actions on assigned projects. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company standards. Assist in the preparation and submission of contract tenders and project variations. Collaborate with the surveying team on claims, design changes, and cost management. Develop accurate project forecasts and cost plans. Prepare detailed reports analyzing project profitability and commercial progress. Work closely with procurement and site management teams to ensure smooth project execution. Essential Skills & Experience Minimum 3 years of experience in UK residential groundworks surveying. Strong numerical and analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Familiarity with construction software systems such as Bluebeam or similar tools.
