We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our team in Warwick. The ideal candidate will have experience in bookkeeping and financial administration, preferably within the automotive engineering sector. This role will involve maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the Finance Manager with reporting and reconciliation tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
* Process supplier invoices, payments, and expense claims in a timely manner.
* Reconcile bank statements, credit cards, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
* Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including monthly and quarterly statements.
* Assist with VAT return preparation.
* Work closely with internal teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting.
* Assist in payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements.
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Finance Assistant, or similar role.
* AAT qualification (or working towards it) is desirable.
* Experience within the automotive engineering industry is advantageous.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
* Proficiency with Xero accounting software, Progress Plus (or similar ERP system) and Microsoft Excel.
* Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent flexibility with working hours.
