Salary: £33,500 per annum Hours of work: Shifts 6am -2pm and 2pm – 10pm rotating Location: Telford Due to continued business growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Production Team Leader in Telford on a permanent basis, for a busy manufacturing company. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will be managing the supply of pressed parts to different areas within the business. You will be responsible for the control and coordination of all production processes and the day-to-day running of the department, to include staff training and development, achieving targets and objectives and compliance of all Health & Safety regs. What are the main duties? Performance management of all team members to include absence management. To ensure the daily picking list is completed in priority order and on time. To be able to maintain high levels of communication with Team Leaders in other departments is critical. Attend daily production meetings and conduct daily briefings with the team. Implement standards operating procedures (SOP) where possible. Implement and drive continuous improvement within your department. Support other departments collaboratively when there are changes to demands. Working with the Production Supervisor to implement continuous improvement initiatives Working co-operatively with your own team and other groups of teams across the business to ensure effective collaboration, using clear & effective communication with the ability to delegate tasks to team members What will I need? Previous experience in a similar role is essential. To demonstrate the ability to be proactive and able to forward plan, with great organisation and the ability to prioritise tasks to achieve deadlines whilst maintaining a high standard of workmanship Adaptable to changes within the business and always understand the customer’s focus. Must be able to understand all aspects of Health & Safety in and around the workplace. An understanding of the OTD and OTIF customer focus Qualifications in Health & Safety e.g., IOSH Managing Safely or Management e.g. ILM Level 2/3 are highly desirable.
