Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated and creative marketing & digital engagement professional with a flexible approach to join us, and contribute to the vital work of the Lymphoedema Wales Clinical Network.
Previous experience and / or knowledge of the work of the NHS would be an advantage but not essential but a good knowledge and experience of creating compelling content, including digital service user stories, video content, social media graphics is vital.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome.
Main duties of the job
The Marketing & Digital Engagement Officer will be responsible for the planning, creation and publication of engaging promotional content through a broad range of communications channels for the Lymphoedema Wales Clinical Network raising the profile. You will join the established and award-winning Lymphoedema National Team supporting Value-Based Healthcare sharing the ethos of avoiding unnecessary variation to ensure the most effective and efficient delivery of services.
Working alongside the wider team, the post holder will take the lead in creating a range of compelling content, including bulletins, annual reports, case studies, digital service user stories, video content, social media graphics and creative content, posters, patient leaflets and other related promotional content, for a range of topics including health promotion, lymphoedema self-management, embedding PIFU and general promotion of the network.
Work alongside members of the Network plus key stakeholders across the organisation to generate positive coverage of routine activities, developments, events, training and specific campaigns and initiatives through contributing to and supporting communications.
The Marketing & Digital Engagement Officer will have strong digital content creation skills to ensure all content can be repurposed for maximum impact across a range of channels ensuring maximum engagement especially within hard-to-reach areas.
The post is hosted by SBUHB but is a National All Wales role.

Person specification
Qualifications & Knowledge
* Educated to degree level in a related area (communications; marketing; PR;) or equivalent work experience.
* Extensive knowledge in software including but not exclusively, Microsoft, SharePoint, Adobe Creative, Canva, Photoshop and video editing software, and a range of social media platforms.
* Media / Communication skills Knowledge of communications, public relations or marketing theory and practice.
* Professional qualifications in marketing, PR or journalism.
* Experience of working with complex information and adapting it for different audiences.
* Experience of organising and running events.
* Advanced use of graphics and design packages to manipulate images and create graphics and infographics, communication visual assets etc.
* Experience in photography and photo editing.
* Experience of working in a large and complex organisation, with a wide range of people at all levels, developing relationships and providing a responsive communications service, both internally and externally.
* Experience in video shooting and production/editing.
Aptitude and abilities
* Ability to manage own workload including multiple priorities and to work to tight deadlines.
* A proficient user of digital and social media, and ability to adapt to the changing media landscape.
* Graphic design skills using desktop publishing packages.
* Experienced Welsh Speaker & translator.
