Permanent Futures are delighted to be working with a leading manufacturing business based in East Staffordshire. Due to investments, we are currently supporting the business with a Maintenance Engineer role.
Shift: 4 on 4 off (DAYS/NIGHTS)
Salary: Circa £41k annum (depending on experience)
Reporting into the Engineering Manager / Chief Engineer, you will take responsibility for both reactive and preventative maintenance duties within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. As a key and valued member of the engineering team, you will share responsibility for achieving budgeted machine performance targets and ensuring machines are kept running to peak performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Daily Plant inspections, monitoring plant performance
2. Facilitating a speedy response to machine stoppage and planning/implementing modifications to new and existing machines
3. Carrying out fault finding diagnosis/repairs on equipment
4. Mechanical/Electrical Maintenance on plant
5. Sharing the responsibility of ensuring PPM’s schedules are maintained in accordance with business requirements
6. Continuous improvements (identifying new methods and procedures that could improve production)
7. Ensuring accurate & timely records are entered/recorded of all work carried out
Successful Maintenance Engineer will have:
1. Previous experience in FMCG Manufacturing, Food Manufacturing, or any manufacturing environment
2. Time served apprenticeship in engineering discipline, holding a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering HND/HNC/NVQ/ONC/Level 3 qualification or higher
3. 18th Edition (desirable)
