Canon’s House is a lifeline for families of children with profound and multiple learning difficulties and complex health and care needs. Our team at Canon’s House support children and young people aged 5 to 17 to experience stability, familiarisation, a sense of belonging and positive physical, emotional and mental health. As a Childcare Officer, you will support the vulnerable and disabled children with complex health, support and personal care needs, help children access and enjoy a wide range of fun and accessible activities, experiences and opportunities to explore their individual interests. You will also take part in all areas of care planning, risk assessment and support. This involves working alongside Health Care professionals, Social Workers, Schools and other supportive agencies. You will run reports, attend reviews and planning meetings with regular school and home visits. We are seeking an individual who possesses an NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification. They will showcase compassion, empathy, strong motivation, and adaptability to flexible work arrangements.
