Are you an experienced Head of Finance or Financial Controller looking for a senior leadership role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? Do you have a strong track record in financial strategy, ERP systems, and process improvements? We are recruiting a Head of Finance for a manufacturing business based in Wednesbury. This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with the Managing Director and senior leadership team to drive financial control, reporting, and business strategy. Key Responsibilities as Head of Finance include: Financial Leadership Lead and develop the finance function, managing a team of four and supporting strategic financial decisions; ERP System Implementation Play a leading role in reviewing and improving a newly implemented ERP system; Financial Reporting Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts, providing key financial insights to the board; Cash Flow & Working Capital Manage cash flow, budgeting, and financial planning, ensuring the company operates efficiently; Internal Controls & Compliance Ensure compliance with financial regulations, statutory reporting, audits, and taxation requirements; Process & System Improvements Develop and implement best practices for financial operations, driving efficiency and accuracy; Stakeholder Management Work closely with senior leaders to influence commercial decisions, support financial planning, and deliver key performance indicators (KPIs); Stock & Credit Control Oversee stocktake processes, debt management, and credit control, ensuring financial stability; IT & Systems Oversee financial systems, supporting the IT function to enhance reporting and automation. Ideally you will be: Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with at least three years of post-qualification experience; Have experience in Manufacturing, engineering, or industrial; Strong ERP system knowledge, ideally with implementation experience; Hands-on, strategic thinker with excellent business acumen and problem-solving skills; Proven ability to lead and develop teams in a fast-paced environment; Strong financial control, budgeting, and cash flow management expertise; Ability to work on-site full-time, collaborating with operations and senior stakeholders.
