The Sr Director of Sales is responsible for leading the sales strategy within the group. The incumbent drives continuous improvement by monitoring protocol effectiveness and effectively navigating change. This individual will provide guidance and mentorship towards colleagues, helping them reach their sales goals. The Sr Director of Sales will also contribute to the development of a sales training platform that aligns with the company's goals and vision. The Sr Director of Sales will be responsible in establishing service strategies and protocols and ensuring their execution through workflows, processes, and best practices.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Providing direction, support, and championing improvement initiatives to advance the quality of client or customer service.
Analyzing industry trends to identify new growth opportunities and keep the company updated.
Building and maintaining a high-performance team culture through recruitment, development, and retention of motivated and successful team members.
Fostering loyalty and commitment among team members to keep them productive, competent and motivated.
Leading the development and implementation of training programs to drive continuous improvement, colleague development and accountability.
Setting and evaluating performance metrics and reporting on team performance.
Participating in sales meetings, reviewing sales activities and establishing sales reporting, tools, and programs to guide further development.
Maintaining a working knowledge of industry products, procedures and underwriting criteria to effectively communicate to team members.
Developing and executing strategies to enhance the client experience, increase retention, and improve operational efficiency.
Leading and managing team colleagues, performing annual performance reviews, and making decisions on colleague onboarding and termination.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to measure, analyze and drive key performance indicators.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products and mobile device platforms and intermediate Excel skills
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
7+ years of related experience in sales leadership
5+ years experience in insurance experience
Experience with Agency Management Systems and/or other CRM-related software.
