Job Description
Reporting to the country R2R Manager, the Management Accountant will support the Senior Accountant in delivering the monthly management reporting schedules, Statutory accounts and key statistical analysis, whilst also supporting on a transformation project.
The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with the local country finance leads, delivering accurate and insightful data to help support key decision making and strategy development. This role will provide the opportunity to work across many areas of finance and receive exposure to senior finance & functional leaders, representing a great platform for developing a career at Sage.
This is a hybrid role 3 days per week from our Newcastle office.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting and analysis for the business. You’ll support both management accounts and statutory reporting, helping to maintain strong internal controls and providing valuable insights that drive informed decisions, as well as being involved in a Finance transformation project. Collaboration is central—you’ll work closely with regional finance teams, external auditors, and internal stakeholders across the business.
What I Will Be Doing
You’ll assist in preparing monthly group management accounts, providing analysis and commentary on trends and key movements. Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations will be part of your day-to-day alongside supporting with periodic balance sheet reviews to ensure internal controls are operated and maintained, and supporting local FCs with budgeting and forecasting. On the statutory reporting side, you’ll help produce financial statements, coordinate with auditors, and provide necessary documentation for audits and tax returns. Providing support and insight for the Transformation Project will also be part of the role. Building strong relationships with regional teams and global departments, such as Tax, Treasury, and Technical Accounting, will be essential to ensuring compliance and accuracy.

We’re looking for someone with a solid understanding of financial reporting and analysis, strong attention to detail, and excellent organisational skills. You’ll need to be a team player who thrives on collaboration, communicates well, and can build strong relationships across different teams. If you enjoy problem-solving, working with data, and ensuring compliance with deadlines, this role will suit you perfectly. A background in audit, statutory reporting, or management accounts would be a strong advantage. Desired qualification - ACA, ACCA or CIMA part qualified or equivalent.
