Principal Duties and Accountabilities:
Being flexible in your approach to work and undertake ad-hoc duties when your vehicle is off the road or if you are required to assist other field teams.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Drive and operate specialist jetting tankers; Super Suction Jetting Tankers, Combination Jetting Tankers once training has been provided (Class 2, CPC required).
* Attend emergency call-out situations dealing with sewer blockages, flooding, and pollution.
* Work on private and public land in strict accordance with statutory health, safety, and environmental procedures.
* Undertake vehicle checks at the start and finish of each shift.
* Ensure that all jobs are documented correctly.
* Report all defects, accidents, and near misses immediately to the Line Manager.
* Maintain the driver’s log book in compliance with MOT rules and procedures.
* Ensure that the conditions of all PPE (personal protective clothing and equipment) remain fit for purpose.
* Keep the vehicle and equipment washed down on a weekly basis, free from rubbish in hose and tool boxes, and the cab.
* Attend training as and when required.

Drainage Engineer (SST) Health and Safety Responsibilities are:
* To understand and comply with the company health and safety policy.
* To influence and promote a positive health, safety culture within the organisation and lead by example.
* To ensure all works activities are carried out in a safe manner and in accordance with legislative, company requirements and the RAMS.
* To carry out comprehensively and complete all company required site documentation.
* Ensure VPR’s are carried out and completed.
* DRA’s are to be carried out for every job and updated where required.
* To report all health, safety and environmental incidents to the Line Manager within 2 hours of it happening.
Qualifications / Competency:
* Class 2 Driving license and CPC.
* Must have the ability to take on responsibility of working within very controlled guidelines and environmental regulations.
* Able to deal with the public in a polite and friendly manner.
* Able to work with a minimum of supervision and to receive instructions remotely.
* Previous work involving liquid waste products in the water utility / environmental services sector is desirable. Knowledge of safe working in streetworks preferred.
