The Role
Haughley & Thurston Vet Centre in Suffolk are looking for a confident vet surgeon to join their team. Whether you are returning from a career break, looking for a consulting only role, a surgical only role, or a mix of both, we could be the practice you have been searching for.
We are a small animal practice and predominantly see dogs and cats, but we have the chicken Vet approved status and RWAF (Rabbit Welfare Association) silver status, so we occasionally see some exotics work as well.
We have a visiting orthopaedic specialist who assists us with a range of cases, as well as a visiting imaging specialist. You will have clinical freedom with your cases and control how your day looks. There is full support available for further study and you will benefit from practice membership to Central CPD. This is a forward-thinking practice that has been integral in creating the newly formed Suffolk Veterinary Society, where monthly CPD events aim to bring members of the local profession together.
Rota Pattern
Ideally working up to 40 hours per week across 4/5 days with a 1:4 Saturdays with no OOH; however, we can consider part-time hours, flexible hours, even afternoons only, as our people are at the heart of everything that we do. That’s why we know that work-life balance is vital in supporting our people to be their best selves. Our flexible approach to rota patterns and working hours offers a balance that truly flexes with you and your lifestyle, no matter what stage you are in your career and life.

Situated between Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket with easy access to the A14 and good rail services to Cambridge or London. We have a range of equipment on-site including DR X-ray, Vetscan Imagyst, Endoscope, Ultrasound, and in-house blood machine.
