Description Job Description Do you have excellent operational delivery skills, including the skills to deliver continuous improvement of service in demanding and changing circumstances? We are currently recruiting for a Team Leader in the Roads Administration Team which is part of the Roads Directorate in Transport Scotland. This role manages a team who support the delivery of excellent service across Roads Directorate. You will be involved in many diverse and interesting tasks to support delivery teams and use your technical knowledge to make decisions. As Team Leader, you will be responsible for your own business area, supporting the Head of Network Administration to deliver against set demands of our fast past Operational Delivery environment. You will be expected to actively collaborate through co-operation and communication with the wider Directorate and external stakeholders. You will be expected to lead by example in the development of colleague behaviours that result in organisational and culture change whilst acting as a positive role model. Responsibilities Line management and day to day responsibility for a team of staff to deliver a credible, responsive and professional service. Manage the drafting and publication of all Road Orders, checking the content and style to ensure any advice provided by our legal advisers has been followed correctly. Work with colleagues to ensure the appropriate responses are made to objections and legal challenges to orders and prepare submissions to allow the consideration of unresolved objections. Provide ad hoc advice to colleagues on all aspects including processing delivery of Traffic Regulation Orders, Road Scotland Act Orders and Compulsory Purchase Orders. Be an active member of the Omnibus Order Review Working Group and assist in the procurement for Recruitment and Public Information Notices Advertising Contract. Manage the acquisition of land for minor scheme by agreement or Compulsory Purchase Orders to support the delivery of various roads projects throughout the directorate.
