The Role
We’re on the search for a skilled and dedicated C&I Engineer to join our Rocksavage Power Station! Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping our plant maintenance strategy, addressing reliability issues, and driving plant performance improvements to ensure that Rocksavage and our systems are operating at peak efficiency.

What you’ll be doing
1. Developing and implementing exciting engineering projects
2. Collaborating with our Maintenance and Reliability and Operations team to investigate plant issues and implement innovative solutions
3. Outage planning? You’ll be our go-to expert for C&I Scope outage management
4. Be at the forefront of change, coordinating Management of Change activities and ensuring compliance with our policies
5. Support our teams during internal and cross-site Technical RCA investigations, and play a key role in Engineering Risk Assessments and Strategic Spares Reviews
6. Manage our C&I document control systems and ensure all actions from C&I Maintenance Reports are completed
7. Support the management of our information tracking databases and meetings, MMS & Permit to Work systems, as well as our quality management system
8. Participate in various Engineering Department initiatives, support the wider InterGen teams on short-term secondments, and produce a monthly report on the main C&I activities
9. In the absence of the Engineering Manager, you’ll get the opportunity to step in and provide suitable cover
Why you?
As our new C&I Engineer, it is essential that you have suitable knowledge and experience of CCGT power plant operations and the maintenance associated with gas/steam turbines, permits for work systems and the ability to read technical drawings. You will have suitable experience with IT applications and computer aided Maintenance Management Systems. We have Safety@Heart at InterGen, so having a good understanding of all HSE aspects will be fundamental in this role and a practical working knowledge of Power Plant Performance would be an advantage.

Education/Experience
1. Educated to degree level in C&I or Electrical/Electronic Engineering discipline is preferred. However, we’d still like to hear from you if you have alternative qualifications along with suitable practical experience.
2. At least five years’ experience in Thermal Generation, CCGT power plants, or heavy industry/technical production environments
3. Knowledge of power plant operations, maintenance, control systems (DCS, SCADA, PLCs), instrumentation, and vibration monitoring equipment.
