Risk and Independence Specialist Advisor and Reviewing Practitioner
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Social Worker to join our friendly, supportive, and exciting Risk and Independence team in Adult Social care services within Northumberland County Council.
This role is permanent, full time (37 hours) based at County Hall, Morpeth.
Salary is Band 10: £48,710 - £52,805.
The service is county-wide across Northumberland. Office work will be essential but there is the opportunity to work hybrid.

The Role:
* The successful candidates will have a good working knowledge of legislative frameworks that underpin Adult social care practice and the ethos of promotion and completion of positive risk assessment to enable service users to maximise their independence and achieve positive outcomes.
* The successful candidates will share Northumberland councils' vision of a council that works for everyone and incorporates its values.
* The candidates will have excellent report writing and communication skills and be able to communicate confidently and effectively with a wide range of service users, professionals, and providers. The team comprises highly skilled social workers and has strong commissioning links. The team members are very supportive and inclusive and encourage the sharing of knowledge and skills to discuss case work and to offer safe, robust, appropriate, and cost-effective care planning.
* The successful candidates will work county-wide offering consultation and delivering training to Adult social care community teams, carry out project and development work, and complete high-quality care act assessments ensuring that care plans are person-centred and meet the clients' needs effectively and robustly.
* Case work will cross all Adult Social care services: Care and support, mental health, learning disability services, head injury services, and transition case work, as well as carrying out out-of-county Care management reviews.
Essential Criteria
* A social work qualification and valid SWE registration.
* Knowledge of working with Adults and issues around working with families/carers and providers.
