Planner – Infrastructure Location – Yorkshire and the North of England What you will be doing: We have an exciting career development opportunity for a Planner to join our team in the Yorkshire / North of England region. As an experienced Planner you will develop, update and manage the design and construction programmes to support on time delivery of our Infrastructure projects within the LA North business unit across Yorkshire and the North of England. You will gain exposure to a strong and wide ranging portfolio of projects and frameworks with project values up to £100m. What will you be doing? You will; Work as part of the construction delivery team Participate in creating a knowingly safe working environment. Produce programmes that comply with the Time requirements of the NEC Conditions of ContractCreate Cl31 Programmes from first principles Produce phasing plans and undertake associated take offs required for planning Review the Works Information / Scope to produce a schedule of constraints and apply this to create programme logic Undertake scenario planning to ensure best construction sequence is being achieved; review regularly Visit sites as often as is necessary to obtain progress data, updating and maintain the Cl32 Programmes in line with the requirements of the contract Produce a report with each Cl32 revision which captures the key movements, critical delay information, mitigation achieved and to be instructed, key risks with the remaining works Break down the Cl32 programme into short and medium term programmes to provide focus for the team and client Produce suitable timeslices to translate the programme into visual form Facilitate construction readiness planning Arrange, facilitate and provide output from client and supply chain collaborative planning sessions Have an understanding of Time Location charts using Tilos (not essential and can be taught) Cost load the schedule, if required Be able to generate Earned Value Analysis from the cost loaded schedule Produce programme metrics Monthly updating of the schedule and reports Update and analyse the schedule based on the effects of Compensation events or other events which may affect the programme. Liaise with subcontractors and assess their programme submissions for acceptance About you We are looking for passion and a commitment for delivering excellence. A solid track record of planning civils projects in a highways and public realm setting is essential. You’ll need experience of working in the contracting environment with the ability to build programmes from scratch in an independent manner but working within a team and report using P6. As a planner we expect the candidate to be a team player and self-sufficient when required. We are looking for someone with the interpersonal skills to liaise with client and subcontractor at a professional level. You should be able to multi-task across several small projects but also have the focus to work on one major scheme.
