An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team on the Clinical Decisions Unit (CDU). CDU is a 22 bedded unit and is situated within the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton. CDU provides care for acutely unwell medical patients and cardiac monitoring for the whole of the site.
Applicants do not need previous experience but must show an interest in these areas of practice and a commitment to delivering quality, compassionate, and individual care to patients. We will provide support and supervision, as well as a broad range of training and learning opportunities.

Main duties of the job
To be an active member of the multidisciplinary team by using professional judgement and assuming responsibility and accountability for assessing, implementing, and evaluating clinical care for patients to meet their needs in a safe caring environment that promotes dignity, privacy, and respect.
The post holder will be expected to develop knowledge and skills within the specialty and assist in the management and organization of nursing work in the ward/department within the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
The post holder will supervise the work of health care assistants and support workers and support the training and assessment of student nurses.
Demonstrates the trust Values and Behaviours for nursing and midwifery staff at all times.
The post holder has a duty of care to patients and is expected to comply fully with best practice standards and trust policies for personal and patient safety and the prevention of healthcare-associated infections.
