Job Title: Civil Engineer Degree Apprentice - Level 6
Duration: 60 months
Starting Salary: £25,784 (subject to 2025 review)
Working Hours: Mon - Fri 9am - 5pm (Can do overtime)

What You'll Do:
1. Fulfil the duties of a Trainee Civil Engineer in the assessment of rail structures.
2. Deliver specified assessments on time and within budget.
3. Support the Project Team to ensure compliance with Company, Network Rail, Highway, and relevant standards.
4. Prepare technical assessment/design remits, calculations, reports, and drawings.
5. Conduct site work for inspections and examinations of assets.
6. Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and apply them in a team environment.
7. Assist and mentor junior staff in producing technical drawings and reports.
8. Maintain health, safety, and environmental compliance requirements.
9. Support the project team in preparing cost estimates and delivering commissions.

What You'll Bring:
Qualifications: 3 x A-Levels at Grades A*-C including Mathematics and Physical Science or equivalent, or a Level 3 Apprenticeship as a Civil Engineering Technician.
Skills: Full driving license or aiming to obtain it; computer literate; appropriate technical skills; good communication skills.
Experience: Experience in railway structure inspections and design schemes; knowledge of health & safety legislation.
