What we’re looking for We’re looking for a People Advisor to look after our teams in our North locations ( Cumbernauld, Forfar, and Middlebrook) Working within the HR Operations Team and supporting the People Operations and Policy Manager, you will support business leaders in understanding and applying people related policies, procedures and practices. You will also support the preparation and delivery of change management activity. Working within a team, you will proactively support employee relations related activity and ensure consistent, fair and correct processes are followed. You will be responsible for ensuring people related policies are up to date, relevant and understood. You will have Policy ownership and oversight for the company policies, liaising with stakeholders to ensure the policies are compliant and relevant. This is a site based role, being a key HR point of contact for the sites, with ad hoc site support and travel required. Your responsibilities will include Employee Relations: Provide first-line advice and guidance to employees and managers on employee relations issues, including disciplinary, grievance, and performance concerns. Conduct thorough investigations and prepare accurate documentation. Support managers in resolving employee relations matters in a fair and consistent manner, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies. Mediate and facilitate conflict resolution where appropriate. Absence Management: Provide advice and guidance on absence management policies and procedures, including sickness absence, long-term absence, and return-to-work processes. Monitor absence trends and report these on People KPI’s Support managers in managing absence effectively, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Policy and Procedure Interpretation: Provide accurate and timely advice to employees and managers on HR policies and procedures. Ensure consistent application of policies and procedures across the organisation. Contribute to the development and review of HR policies and procedures. Oversight of the company wide policies, ensuring policy owners update them as required Analysis and Insight: Spot trends internally and externally and work with the People Performance Partners to prepare for/drive improvements across the organisation HR Administration: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records. Support HR projects and initiatives as required. Provide support with onboarding and offboarding procedures. Compliance: Ensure all HR activities are conducted in compliance with relevant employment legislation and best practices. Stay up-to-date on changes in employment law and provide advice to management. Ensure data is managed correctly in accordance with data protection regulations Other Activities Support in the preparation and delivery of People related change activity to ensure this is delivered successfully.
