Job Title: Pharmacy Aseptic Services Technician
Trainees will be considered under Annex 21. Upon completion of training, you will be fixed within Pharmacy Aseptic Services.
Applicants under Annex 21 who do not meet the essential criteria will be considered under the Annex 21 training programme. During training, they will be paid a percentage of the top of Band 4, and upon completion, will move to the Band 4 scale.
The Role
This position is fixed in Aseptic Services.
To undertake pharmaceutical technical tasks within a designated area, on a rotational basis, using Standard Operating Procedures laid down by the relevant Senior Pharmacy Technician to maintain a high-quality pharmaceutical service to NHS Lanarkshire hospitals.

Candidate Requirements
Education:
* Diploma/SQA National Certificate in Pharmacy Services or equivalent, enabling registration as a pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
Professional:
* Registered pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
Other Knowledge:
* Undertake revalidation required by GPhC and maintain a professional development portfolio.
Preferred Skills and Experience
* Continuing professional development as per GPhC guidelines.
* Training in aseptic and cytotoxic drug reconstruction/manipulations.
* Experience in dispensing prescriptions and providing stock top-up in hospital settings.
* Understanding of hospital pharmacy services.
* Computer and keyboard skills.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Organizational and prioritization skills.
* Team player attitude.
Contract Details
* Permanent
* Full-time, 37 hours/week
Location and Working Pattern
Based at the Pharmacy Department, University Hospital Monklands, with working hours Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
