Our Pensions Administration business continues to grow and we are now looking for an experienced Pensions Technical Analyst to join our vibrant Middlesbrough office with hybrid working. This is an exciting role and would most likely suit someone with previous experience in a Pensions Administration role where they have gained knowledge and experience of defined benefit pension schemes, industry regulations, and current pensions legislation.

The Role
As a Pensions Technical Analyst with XPS you will:
* Build and maintain good relationships with clients
* Liaison with Actuaries and Benefit Consultants on legislative matters.
* Act as a focal point for all technical queries
o Ensure compliance with scheme rules, industry regulations and pensions legislation
o Provide expert advice and guidance
o Assess complex technical pension issues and provide specialist expertise to team members and clients
o Contribute to the design and development of new approaches and solutions in line with business and/or client needs
o Establishes and maintain process for managing and administering sufficient quality controls
o Apply and revise as required process to ensure continued accuracy and quality of calculations and external communications
o Provide expert guidance and coaching to team members
o Ad-hoc activities as determined by the business.
* Design and presentation of training seminars and programmes to scheme members, pension's administration staff or employer's staff as required.
* Production of office procedures documentation, training manuals and other documentation as required.
* Attendance at various user groups as a representative of the company where required.
* Liaison with system suppliers and other relevant organisations.
* Raise the profile of XPS Administration in the Public Sector by contributing to local and national forums and debates.
Your profile
Essential Criteria
* Previous pensions administration experience of Defined Benefit (DB) schemes.
* Successfully progressing CPC/DPC/RPC/APMI (or applicants deemed 'qualified by experience' would be considered).
* Direct, relevant experience of the Pensions Industry.
* A consultative approach to the management of change
* Must be able to understand and comment on complex legislation
* Solid awareness of scheme rules, industry regulations, current pensions legislation and how these impact on the business and its systems
* Experience of dealing with external clients
Desirable Criteria
* Advantageous to have experience of administering Local Government Pension Schemes
