Stuart Canvas is the leading UK brand for sports pitch cover manufacturing as well as building supplies equipment. Over 50 years old and working with some of the top professional sporting venues in the country in Cricket, Tennis and Racing, while also exporting product all over the world. The companies HQ is in Warrington, but has sites in Nantwich and Sheffield as well, and sells a diverse range of products. The product range is from the manufacture of covers and canvas to designing steel covering systems, equipment for grounds and sports venues and covers for the defence market. Our sectors range from Sports, Defence, Industrial, Building supplies, modular building and aggregate sectors.
The Group also has Mudfords Ltd, which is a distributor to the building sector or items such as Hessian, Sandbags, Straps, Tarps, Bags and many other products, while also having its own production department. Mudfords has been trading since 1832 with a long history.
The majority of our business is B to B.
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced marketing manager to drive our business and brand forward. Working closely with the senior management team, you will be responsible for developing and executing marketing plans and campaigns which will increase our brand and product presence throughout the industry.

Key Responsibilities
· Marketing Strategy - Plan and Execute a marketing strategy for both online and offline streams, to drive Stuart Canvas Group brand awareness and increase sales growth in the UK. This will include digital campaigns, exhibitions, email marketing, social media and more.
· Brochure - Amending and improving current brochure to include new products, price changes, errors etc
· Product Launches & Social Media - Liaising with the Purchasing and Sales team to ensure new products or designs are marketed promptly to our social channels. Manage social media channels, including content creation and posting schedules.
· Event & Exhibitions - Plan and manage events and exhibitions, to ensure displays are on brand and aligned with the marketing and sales strategy. Look and source potential new exhibition show opportunities, to build brand awareness across all our sectors.
· Innovations and Growth: Continuously working with the Sales team to seek out new marketing opportunities and channels, to push the company to become a market leader.
· Websites – Manage the PPC campaigns of the two main websites. Make sure all campaigns are working correctly, while always looking for new keywords to implement. Manage the Organic SEO of the websites to make sure all the key products of the companies are promoted correctly
· Manage the website for blogs and factually correct information. Constantly update the websites to make them relevant
· Content Creation & Digital Engagement: Produce engaging and high-quality content across various channels such as social media, email marketing, and blogs to attract and retain a loyal customer base.
· Market Research & Industry Awareness: Stay at the forefront of sports, defence and building trends, continuously gathering insights on customer preferences and competitor strategies to keep our brand ahead of the curve. Monitor industry developments and trends, providing insights on new opportunities for growth and ensuring the brand remains competitive.
· Performance Monitoring & Optimisation: Analyse key marketing metrics and performance data to measure success, optimise campaigns, and continuously improve outcomes.
· Use tools like Canva and Adobe to produce professional marketing literature.
· Run all email campaigns across the group
· Run all print ad campaigns to maximise the best value for £
· Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to align marketing initiatives with company goals.
· Reporting - Report monthly for Senior management meeting, providing detailed analysis of marketing activities, campaign results, future planning and growth.
The Successful applicant
Experience:
Proven experience in a senior marketing role, ideally with exposure to the sports or building sectors.
· A minimum of 5 years experience in running a marketing department.
· A degree in Marketing
· Full understanding of marketing tools, including Canva, Adobe, and social media platforms.
· Strong content creation and storytelling skills.
· An Excellent communicator with great stakeholder management skills.
· Creative, proactive, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
· Proven experience in a similar role within the Industrial / Manufacturing / sports industry.
· Strong leadership and team management skills.
· A creative mindset with a data-driven approach.
· Proficiency in using marketing software and digital platforms.
· Good understanding of SEO both PPC and Organic
