From world-famous prehistoric sites to grand medieval castles, Roman forts to a Cold War bunker, we bring the history of England to life.This is a part-time role working a minimum of 15 hours per week from April to October, and then switching to a zero-hour contract from November to March. Additional hours may be available over the winter months as the site is open on weekends and school holidaysAs a Food and Beverage Assistant, you will help to prepare food and drinks from the best of regional and local produce, at Mount Grace Priory. Making sure all our visitors have a fantastic experience, you will prepare and serve a range of quality refreshments, working as part of a team to support the day-to-day operations of our food and beverage outlet. You will create a warm and welcoming environment for our visitors, ensure great quality in everything we serve and help us tell more of English Heritage's story through its food and unique settingsYour duties may vary depending on the day, but you can expect to be:- Taking and preparing food and drink orders- Assisting with food preparation in our kitchen- Providing exceptional customer service- Ensuring a perfect standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout- Providing support during our eventsAbout YouTo be a Food and Beverage Assistant, you will:- understand what makes excellent customer service and enjoy delivering this to our customers- be able to engage in a positive way with people from all backgrounds and enjoy working as a teamExperience of working in a food and beverage role would be beneficial, as would an awareness of food safety and allergen compliance but full training will be provided.
