Staff are reflective and committed to continually developing their own practice.
Design and Food Technology is taught in 3 fully equipped workshops, 1 classroom, 2 refurbished kitchens and has its own computer suite. Our Design and Food Technology results continue to be outstanding with on average 87% of our students gaining 4+ and 68% gaining a 5+. Progress 8 scoreshave consistently been outstanding at 0.50+ or better.
Students in year 7 and 8 experience Resistant Materials, Graphic Products, Textiles, Food Technology and STEAM. Over 300 students are taking GCSE within the department and follow a scheme of work that is bespoke to the students at Tanbridge House School.
