Purpose of the Role As well as creating a culture of successful interventions that enable positive outcomes for children, you will have a key strategic role in working across the partnership to ensure children and families receive help early to prevent need from escalating. You will have a system leadership role in advocating the Child First principle and diverting children away from the criminal justice system in line with North East Lincolnshire’s vision ‘Our Children, Our Future’ which aims to support children and young people to grow up happy and healthy, safe in their homes and communities, with people that love them. Main Responsibilities Reporting to the Service Director for Safeguarding Children, Youth Justice and Family Help, you will provide effective, creative leadership, responsible for the delivery of our youth justice and Family help offer including family hubs and supporting families. You will have a strategic and operational knowledge of the Youth Justice and ILACS Inspection framework and will be dedicated to ensuring children are safe and supported. This is an exciting time to join North East Lincolnshire Council and is a time of local and national change for children, in the context of the National Social care review, you will have the ability to navigate the changing landscape to proactively respond and strategically shape and develop the offer for children You will work collaboratively with partners to shape and influence targeted intervention with children and families. You will be responsible for the statutory and preventative youth justice partnership approach, the youth offer and for ensuring that emerging needs are identified and risks to children and adolescents are reduced.
