Job Title: Out of Hours Team Leader
Hours: 16 Hours per week covering various Rota patterns (Evenings and Weekends), plus £25.00 overnight payment to cover the hours of 23:00-07:00
Salary Scale: £13.81 per hour (additional payments will be paid for additional hours worked during the hours 23:00 – 07:00)
Holidays: 28 days per annum inclusive of bank holidays
Responsible to: Registered Manager
Lead Responsibility: To be responsible for the day-to-day management of a number of Services, outside of usual office hours.
General Responsibilities:
Task of the Role
Organisational
* To provide advice to the Strategic Management Team and the Board of Trustees when required.
* To assist in the training and development of staff by identifying areas for development.
* To co-operate and participate in any formal investigation or hearing.
Service Specific
* To work with other managers within the organisation to provide a point of contact out of office hours.
* To ensure that the services conform with the quality standards and requirements of Independent Options, Care Quality Commission (CQC), supporting people, purchasers and other funding bodies.
* To work within the budget set by the Board of Trustees/Finance to provide the best value service possible whilst meeting the needs/allocation of each service user.
Team Specific
* To participate in covering the service rota, including emergency shift cover when necessary.
* To take a lead role in covering shifts during out of office hours and updating electronic rota to reflect the changes in shifts.
* To assist in the management of teams outside of office hours.
* To be the main representative of the team as and when required, outside of office hours.
* To assist the Managers in the implementation of the business plan for the teams, outside of usual office hours.
* To provide support and guidance for support staff, outside of usual office hours.
* To provide day-to-day support for team members, outside of usual office hours.
* To adhere to the organisations Finance Procedures.
* To assist the Managers to liaise with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) when required, outside of usual office hours.
* To be aware and implement Health and Safety regulation and procedures.
* To assist the Managers to liaise with relatives of service users when necessary, outside of usual office hours.
* To assist the Managers to respond positively and promptly to any complaints or feedback from service users, relatives or other agencies, outside of usual office hours.
Individual Specific
* To adopt a flexible approach to working arrangements in order to support the team and meet the individual requirements of the service users.
* To notify the Supported Living Manager of whereabouts where necessary and submit accurate timesheets and expense claims.
* To accept and participate in supervision sessions and appropriate training programmes.
* To identify own training and development needs in discussion with the line manager.
* To carry out all work in a manner that is consistent with the aims and service principles of Independent Options.
* To observe all written policies, procedures and guidelines for good practice agreed by Independent Options.
* To maintain an up-to-date awareness of legislation and good practice related to the specific service group.
* To work within the performance management system for Independent Options.
* To follow guidance provided by the Strategic Management Team to provide services.
* Any other duties as required by the Strategic Management Team and/or Board of Trustees.

As an Out of Hours Team Leader, you will be the lead person and point of contact for several services. With your strong supervising and team management skills, you will ensure smooth operations during non-traditional hours. Your background in the Health and Social Care industry, coupled with your experience, will be instrumental in overseeing service quality and maintaining high standards. With premium skills in managing rotas and service queries, you will also contribute to creating a positive and efficient work environment. Your relevant experience in supporting adults with learning disabilities, operations, and customer services will further enhance your ability to effectively manage your shift and ensure exceptional customer experiences and a safe environment for the individuals we support.
