The South Oxfordshire community team is supportive and passionate, covering and basing ourselves at the Wallingford birthing centre to strive for continuity for our birthing people and families.
The birth centre has a homely atmosphere with a birthing pool room for women choosing to birth in the community. The dedicated team of midwives and support workers provides care for birthing people and their families in the surrounding area. Wallingford is a lovely town in South Oxfordshire, ideal for families with ongoing transport links to London and the South coast.
The Wallingford team provides antenatal and postnatal care, runs clinics in GP surgeries and the community hospital, and offers an on-call service for those choosing to birth at home and in the midwifery-led unit.
We are looking for midwives enthusiastic about community births. Flexible working patterns are offered, as well as full and part-time roles. This role is for experienced Band 6 midwives.
Main duties of the job
Full and Part Time hours are available. Must be a car driver and have access to a car during the day and for On Calls.

* Registered Midwife with current UK Registration and a minimum of 6 months employed experience as a midwife.
