Oxted - Primary Education - Learning Difficulties - Special Needs Teaching Assistant - SEN - From £85 per day
This Primary school located in Oxted is looking for a Teaching Assistant to start working with them supporting SEN children with mild to severe needs, aged 4-11 on a 1:1 basis.
The Special Needs Teaching Assistant role is an excellent way to get your 'foot in the door', providing the opportunity to work closely and network with other teams of professionals, gaining relevant experience, and expanding your knowledge and skillset. This role will give you essential experience within a challenging yet rewarding setting.
As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will be instrumental in providing consistency, equipping children and young people with tools to ensure they feel safe, secure, empowered, and believe that they can succeed in life.
Job Role and Responsibilities of a Special Needs Teaching Assistant:
1. Assist the class teacher in providing the learning experience of students
2. Provide behaviour and pastoral support
3. Build robust and effective relationships with students
4. Adopt a practical approach to meet the individual needs of students
5. Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills
6. Be caring, compassionate, and a good listener
7. Willing to work 1:1 and in small groups with students
8. Ensure the safeguarding of students
9. Attend staff meetings and complete appropriate CPD
10. Ability to commute to Oxted
Start date ASAP. Excellent on-site training, support, and CPD are provided to ensure the safeguarding of all students.
Mon-Fri, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm PAYE, term time only. From £85 per day.
