We require a Product Support Engineer/Field service Engineer to work for a Rail engineering company around The Midlands area, the individuals will receive full training on the company product, but must have exposure to Diesel Products. This will be a home based position with travel across the Midlands area (and Beyond on occasion). The role has a basic salary of circa £41,760 pa for a 45 hour week on a rota (6 weeks in advance), the role includes Van and fuel paid as well as accommodation if required to stay away on jobs and has an additional paid on call element. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Carry out appropriate modification programmes on Company Diesel products at customer sites. The scope of this activity includes initial preparation of work (tools, parts etc.), day to day liaison with customers and keeping accurate, concise records of work completed. • Ensure that all materials/parts, drawings, tooling, fixtures, test equipment are fit for purpose & available prior to commencement of a job • Flexibility in traveling and staying out away from home. • Identify revenue opportunities and report to the PSE Co-ordinator • First line dealing with complaints made by customers, stepping in and supporting as necessary. Escalating at the earliest opportunity as required. • Maintain positive working relationships with current and potential customers in such a manner as to maintain the reputation of the company as a world class supplier of railway equipment and systems.
