The primary focus of the Category Marketing Manager is to secure and maximise the online and offline brand presence for the specified Sony categories across the relevant touchpoints in the market (retailers stores, retailers’ websites, 3rd Party Websites and other assets). This involves coordinating the execution of category strategies with internal stakeholders and external agencies and to ensure that the business and brand strategy is faithfully executed where the consumer interacts with our brand. As the functional marketing expert within a specified category, you will lead Sony’s efforts to optimize online and offline visibility, executing 360° marketing strategies throughout the entire consumer journey—from awareness and consideration to conversion and retention. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Senior Marcom Manager, Product Marketing Managers, and key sales channels to develop and implement strategies that maximize the category's visibility and performance across all platforms. You will: Manage & coordinate all instore and digital marketing activities within the assigned categories, from product launches to campaign activations. Work closely with Product Marketing, Customer Marketing Managers, Agencies and Sales teams for goal setting and activation plan, designing and implementing marketing initiatives to drive higher online and offline sales within relevant channels. Manage offline best visibility & experience in cooperation with sales organisation, ensuring that the ranged products are shown in a compelling way, and with relevant contents to the end users to drive conversion – Offline SLC (Selection, Location, Condition) Manage category online presence, ensuring that the assigned category is shown in a compelling way and with relevant contents to the end users to drive omnichannel conversion – Online SLC (Selection, Location, Condition) Omnichannel Consistent and Optimal product communication message within the assigned Sony business partners. Take the initiative to tailor our existing physical and digital assets to best meet the COIs within the category we are specifically targeting. Work with cross-functional teams through implementation and compliance of product communication for ensuring desired results Deliver vs the Brand and Product objectives and do this whilst managing and optimizing the A&P budget. Effectively communicate with internal Sony stakeholders and external agency partners. You will bring: A university degree or relevant educational background or equivalent experience suited to the role Proficiency in business English, both spoken and written Proven experience in in-store and digital marketing Expertise in managing third-party agencies Valuable experience in sales or marketing A strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail A commercially driven, self-motivated, and ambitious personality Professional demeanour with a focus on innovation and creativity Strong planning and team collaboration skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, marketing platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube), and Google tools (SEM, Display, Shopping, AdWords), as well as CRM and other relevant IS tools Experience in asset creation, content management, and user experience (UX) is an advantage A proactive and forward-thinking attitude Your new office Weybridge Based at the Weybridge office, you will enjoy a vibrant and friendly working environment.
