We are seeking a Business Development Manager to report to the Chief Commercial Officer and will have responsibility for the development and growth of Broughton’s Laboratory Services. You will identify and onboard new clients, the main focus being Nicotine and Pharmaceuticals with the support of our standalone consultancy services.
Location: Hybrid, mostly remote with expectation to be on site each week, Maximum 2 hour commute from site.
Business Development Manager Key Responsibilities:
* Identify new business opportunities and lead sales activities to generate business development, win contracts and capture market share
* Create detailed SOW’s utilising guidance and support from or technical team
* Manage the relationship to obtain further ongoing business when your clients are secured
* Generate revenue and profitability by agreeing and achieving targets set
* Collaborate with the wider teams to agree ways of working to ensure successful new client onboarding
Business Development Manager Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in Business Development
* Has all the attributes to secure new business, is results driven, persuasive, confident and adaptable, however long it takes to build those key relationships.
* A scientific background and knowledge of the nicotine or pharmaceutical markets is preferred.
* Proven experience in winning contracts
* Ability to work with SME’s/Technical Experts to get the job done
* Ability to consider options outside of the standard and bring innovative ideas to the team
* Credibility is key, working with operational doers to senior management approvers, you must maintain relationships to achieve without over-promising and under-selling.

* OTE £60K (uncapped)
