Female PE Teacher – Secondary School in Wythenshawe

Pay Rate: £140 - £200 per day (dependent on experience)
We are currently seeking a Female PE Teacher to join a secondary school in Wythenshawe. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching physical education across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering high-quality lessons that inspire students to engage in physical activity and sport. This role also involves supporting extracurricular activities, encouraging student participation in sports teams and events, and promoting the benefits of a healthy and active lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities:
* Teach PE across KS3 and KS4: Deliver engaging and dynamic lessons that are in line with the national curriculum, promoting physical fitness and teamwork.
* Monitor student progress: Assess students’ performance and provide regular feedback on their development, ensuring that they are achieving their potential in physical education.
* Support extracurricular activities: Organise and lead after-school sports clubs, teams, and competitions, encouraging students to get involved outside of lesson time.
* Promote health and fitness: Inspire students to lead healthy, active lifestyles by embedding this ethos in lessons and school activities.
* Collaborate with colleagues: Work closely with other members of the PE department to develop schemes of work and contribute to the school's wider sporting and health-related initiatives.
* Safeguarding and welfare: Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times, following all safeguarding protocols.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience teaching PE at secondary school level, with a strong understanding of the curriculum and GCSE PE.
* Passion for physical education and promoting an active lifestyle among students.
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
* Ability to motivate and inspire students to engage in physical activity.
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
