The Cardiovascular CAG is offering an exciting opportunity to join the Barts Heart Centre’s cardiology services. We are looking for enthusiastic individual who will be responsible for the active management of patients’ pathways, with responsibility for the efficient and effective delivery of a high performing and dedicated service. They will be managing Admin & Clerical Staff in General and Interventional Cardiology improving & ensuring the efficient running of the services and maintaining 18 weeks for non & admitted patients.
North and East London has some of the most dynamic and talented cardiovascular experts nationally & internationally. Clinicians from Barts Health NHS Trust, University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) & further afield are working together to create a single specialist centre for cardiovascular disease to cover all our local communities. Barts Heart Centre at St Bartholomew’s Hospital opened in early 2015. The service allows us to bring together our existing unique experience and research activity. We are now able to increase our understanding of and ability to address the root causes of cardiovascular diseases by growing the number of patients who get the chance to take part in clinical trials and research.

To provide effective and efficient running of the all General and Interventional Cardiology services. Ensuring all targets are met where possible, liaising directly with the Team Leads, attending all senior management meetings. Ensuring all recruitment is up to date and advertised accordingly. Looking at external and internal processes of the services to ensure planning is given and support is provided, especially towards the outreach clinics. Looking at the specialist services we provide and ensuring they are maintained to a high level. Managing the 18 week PTL (patient tracking list). Look at finances and adhering to all budgetary measures when implementing anything new. Understanding how costing and procedural codes affect the services. Dealing with HR issues within your service. Managing capacity and demand projects and concentrating on ASI with the services
