Our clients RCVS-accredited small animal practice, located in Leicester, is seeking a dedicated and well-rounded GP Veterinary Surgeon to join a close-knit team. With no out-of-hours and a manageable 1:3 weekend rota, this role offers excellent work-life balance in the heart of Leicester. They are also flexible to look at hours that work around you.
You’ll be working alongside three experienced vets and a brilliant team of nurses and receptionists, all of whom are passionate about delivering outstanding care to the loyal client base. This role is perfect for a confident vet who enjoys a variety of cases, from routine consults and surgery to more advanced soft tissue procedures. You’ll be supported by experienced colleagues and have the opportunity to help shape the future of our practice. We’re also happy to support certificate study, providing funding and time to pursue your clinical interests.
Consultations are 15 minutes as standard, with longer appointments available for more complex cases. You’ll enjoy a balanced diary that includes both consults and operating time, with the support of a highly skilled nursing and reception team who keep the workflow smooth and patient-focused.
They are well-equipped with in-house IDEXX labs (including hematology, biochemistry, and SNAP tests), digital x-rays, a brand-new ultrasound machine, a handheld dental x-ray, a diathermy unit, and all the kit needed for routine and orthopedic surgeries. A visiting CT scanner allows for even more thorough diagnostics when needed.
They offer a competitive salary dependent on experience and rota commitment, ranging from £38,000 to £65,000. You’ll receive 224 hours of annual leave (increasing to 264 after two years), plus full cover of RCVS and VDS fees. CPD is fully funded, with allocated days to support your ongoing development.
